Storyboards

Ok, so I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been really busy, my uni semester has just finished. So for the next 2 months I’m going to be working solidly on this. It’s about time I posted some story info, and as you can see here are the storyboards. I’ve gone through a few versions, and have dropped characters as the story has come together. Anyway the animation is going to be 2-3 minutes in length. I’ll be using Maya for the majority of the work along with ZBrush. Its going to be called ‘Julius And The Apple’ and heres what has emerged in terms of story.

After losing his family and running away from what life he had, Julius has all but the clothes on his back. In search of food, Julius discovers an apple tree bearing one last fruit. Having not eaten in days Julius climbs the tree (not the easiest thing for a 10-year old boy) and picks the apple. Meanwhile a young girl named Penelope who is also hungry has been watching. Noticing this Julius decides to give up the last apple. They soon spark up a friendship and Penelope takes Julius under her wing.

This first weblog post is pretty tough. Anyway, I’ve started an animation project for my major work at uni. So here i’ll be posting my progress along with random drawings and other useful things.
